Nifty gained 0.34% to 23,140.50, led by realty and auto.

Status: On September 24, the market transitioned into a Downtrend after the Nifty breached its prior low of 23,116 and declined further to establish a fresh low of 23,046, with the index now trading below all its key moving averages. On September 25, the index made a new low of 23,021 but managed to close positive, so counts as Day 1 of a new Rally Attempt . The recovery came mostly from large caps, with banks and select heavyweights leading. The broader market didn't join in, as the Midcap and Smallcap indices ended slightly lower. During a market downtrend , capital preservation should take priority, as fresh buying carries higher risk and weaker reward potential. Avoid new positions and remember that cash is also a position until conditions improve and quality stocks form constructive breakouts. Reduce weaker holdings, protect accumulated profits and apply strict stop-losses, including the 7–8% sell rule. Meanwhile, continue researching resilient stocks and build a watchlist of potential leaders for the next uptrend. Going ahead, the market status could shift to a Rally Attempt if the Nifty closes in positive territory or ends the session in the upper half of its daily range and successfully holds that low for three consecutive sessions. A subsequent Follow-Through Day (FTD) would be essential to confirm a transition back to an Uptrend, at which point leadership stocks with strong relative strength would come into focus.

Measured over 295 listings it correlates 0.87 with the realised listing gain and overstates it by about 2.6pp; a zero GMP has averaged -6.6% and was positive 29% of the time. IPO review — apply, skip, avoid

Monday 28 September, read again at 09:00 after the pre-open mail. Overnight the grey market moved and two of the moves matter. Runwal Enterprises has halved, ₹30 to ₹14 — 9.8% to 4.6%, which after the 2.6-point overstatement is about two points and inside the noise of a listing day; the SKIP hardens. Orient Cables firmed ₹80 to ₹90, 29.4% to 33.1%, which is the market disagreeing with that 0.01x QIB book. SRIT India edged up to 25.4% and Shah Investor's Home down to 6.0% — both in the direction the calls already point. Moneyview and A-One are unchanged. Subscription figures are still Friday's close; the exchange book updates through the session. Today is the day four of these change status: SRIT India and Shah Investor's Home open, Moneyview and A-One Steels close. Expected listing is the GMP percentage less 2.6 points, the overstatement backtest_gmp measured over 295 listings (r = 0.87). The one number to read again before applying to SRIT is its day-one book. A no-OFS issue at 21x with 30% return on equity is the best structure on this board, and an opening-day book under 1x would say the market disagrees with that reading. For the two closing today, QIB is now decisive rather than indicative: institutions bid on the final day, so Moneyview at 0.25x and A-One at 0.09x are Friday's picture, not the verdict. Orient Cables closes tomorrow with QIB at 0.01x — on a ₹552 Cr issue a book that finishes under 1x means retail and HNI carried it alone, and that is a listing to sell into rather than hold.

Most filings are housekeeping — meetings, trading windows, newspaper copies. Only the categories that can move a price are flagged. The exchange's own category is kept verbatim rather than mapped onto our vocabulary, so a new one shows up unfamiliar instead of silently becoming 'other'.

This is the source a news search is not: a filing is dated, typed, keyed on the NSE symbol, and legally required. Searching news for RRKABEL the same day returned a festival marketing story twice and a two-month-old AGM notice.
